ABOUT WOODLAND FRIENDS
Woodland Friends is a small, licensed family child care home in Daly City, welcoming children from 3 months–6 years.
We want our child care to feel warm, comfortable, and familiar — a place where children can feel at home while discovering the world around them.
Our goal is to encourage curiosity and show children just how much there is to explore, from tiny bugs and plants to animals, people, our planet, and even space.
We learn through play, stories, art, music, cooking, nature, experiments, and creating things with our own hands.
Most of all, we want children to enjoy the process of learning, asking questions, trying new things, and discovering what interests them.
MEET OLGA
Hi, I’m Olga!
I’ve always known that I wanted to work with children — to support them as they grow, help them discover new things, and be there for all the little moments and big milestones along the way.
Many of the things I love in my own life have naturally become part of the way I teach. I’ve loved art and making things with my hands since I was a child. I enjoy cooking, biology, astronomy, and learning about people and nature, and I’m currently learning to play the piano.
I love being able to share these interests with children and, even more, seeing what sparks their curiosity.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education from Russia and five years of experience working in licensed child care in California.
Over the years, I’ve had children come into my care as tiny four-month-old babies and watched them grow into funny, curious, independent little people.
One of my favorite parts of this work is that these relationships often don’t end when a child leaves my classroom. I’ve stayed close with many of the families I’ve worked with and have had the joy of continuing to watch their children grow.
Every child brings something unique, and one of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching their personality develop, seeing their accomplishments, and celebrating those moments with their families.
Woodland Friends grew from my dream of creating a small child care program of my own — a place where I can bring together the things I love about teaching and create the kind of childhood environment I believe in.
OUR PROGRAM
Every day at Woodland Friends brings something a little different while following a familiar routine. Our daily schedule creates a balance between learning, play, creativity, outdoor time and rest, while leaving plenty of room for children to explore and simply enjoy being kids.

Our schedule may shift from day to day based on the children’s needs, interests, weather, and planned activities.

Fresh, homemade and balanced meals are part of every day at Woodland Friends. We offer a variety of foods and encourage children to enjoy mealtimes, try new flavors, and build a positive relationship with food.
